Nothing like a bike ride at the beach

I'm blown away by the comfort while riding this Van Dessel All Day Driver! I'm also surprised by the miles I can put on it and still be able to walk & sit down. It loves to go fast! I was never comfortable on a road bike (it's the mountain biker in me) so finding a bike I can put some miles on (and enjoy it) has me pretty excited.

If you're like me, you aren't a fan of the road bike geometry. Maybe because you're a mountain biker, or maybe you have a little extra in the mid section? I strongly recommend looking into a gravel grinder, for most have a relaxed geometry. It's a great way to keep the legs and miles up during messy weather. I upgrade the bar tape (Lizard Skin) and put some tubeless-ready Maxxis Receptor's 700X40, and you can still go bigger.

What's RAD

• Quality/Look/Price

• Comfort on longer rides (ten mile plus) which has been hard to find for me

• Settings for days and clearance to run a nice fat tire for gravel roads

Not so RAD

• You might start going on more road bike rides vs mountain bike rides

Kook Tip

• Do some rides with the stock 700X37 tires before you throw on some larger (width) tires. The 37 felt great/fast on the road and didn't feel sketchy on dirt or smaller loose gravel
