Osprey Savu 5 Lumbar Pack

Updated: Sep 22, 2022

The perfect pack for the mountain biking minimalist

Are you about fanny pack life

The freedom to not have a backpack on but still carry water, nutrition, phone, multi tool, fire starter, aquatabs, Stans (sealant & dart tool), & 2 GoPro batteries is mind blowing!

Osprey Savu 5

  • $65

  • You can pick up Osprey gear at your local outdoor/bike shops or Osprey

  • Where it shines: On bike rides or hikes when you need to carry a good bit of stuff

I started mountain biking back in the 90ties (thanks, Chad), which means you wore a hydration backpack even if it was a 30-minute ride. I never thought I would rock a lumbar pack. I do, and I love it! You can pick up Osprey gear at your local bike/outdoor shops or Osprey.

What's RAD

  • Price/Quality

  • Comfort

  • More than enough storage and compartments

Not so RAD

  • Trying to put a bottle back when ear to ear grin on flowy trails

Kook Tip

  • Don't overpack it! It's only a two-hour (at best) ride. With all the freedom this pack gives you, it's hard not to overload it. It is rad how you can bring the essentials, and if you are into making content or footage, you have enough room for extra batteries and mount
