Nidecker ESCAPE PLUS

Updated: Apr 7

The all mountain directional camber dreamer

It wasn't the best winter for New England (USofA) but when it was good, it was real good this year! I put the Nidecker Escape Plus to work in the trees and on the groomers. It shined in every condition.

The Nidecker Escape Plus was the perfect board for the deep white fluffy stuff, but I was most impressed with how it could hold a line (at high speeds) on the unpredictable groomers of VT & NH.

Nidecker Escape Plus

Nidecker has been around for a minute. 1887 if you're ever playing quizo in a ski town bar after a day on the slopes. Check out the history. Ok, back to the Escape Plus...the older (wiser I get) the bigger, longer, and wider all my boards (snow/surf) become. With a size 12 boot, I always look for a wide board as well. My sweet spot has been 159-162 Wide to MidWide. I have to say running this board all season has really made me enjoy snowboarding. The control and the grip the Escape Plus shows has only increased my confidence while riding. I'd say that's a good a thing. I went all in with Nidecker this season and paired the Escape Plus (like the fine bottle of wine she is) with the Nidecker Supermatic Automatic - Universal - Dual Entry (say that three times fast) bindings. AKA, a step in binding that works with almost any board, and any soft boot you have. It was a game changer, see write up about the bindings here.
