Dometic Atwood Stainless Steel Cooktop

Stainless Steel two burner drop in cooktop

For when restrictions and space are a concern

So many campsites and "parking lots" today have open flame restrictions, and a tabletop camping stove is a pain. The drop-in stove is the only way to go when building out your rig. I know I'm saving gas too.

Dometic Drop in Cooktop

  • The pictured Atwood is discontinued, but you can pick up a similar one for $150-$200

  • You can pick up Dometic Products at your local outdoor/RV shops or Dometic

  • Where it shines: When you want to cook your own meals and not have gas station snacks, again

The two-burner features one 7200 BTU burner with a large, oval grate and one 5200 BTU burner with standard circular grate. You can pick up Dometic gear at your local outdoor/RV shop or Dometic. The convince of having this in the van and how easy it is to refill a tank has been very helpful to eating well on the road.

What's RAD

  • Quality/Price/Look/Size

  • Easy to use after you make the perfect cut to drop it in

  • Your mess cleans off the stainless steel with ease

Not so RAD

  • Finding one in stock

Kook Tip

  • Purchase the cover so you don't lose countertop space. It also serves as a nice splash guard (subway tiles)
